This site specific installation grew out of an art residency Morlock received from Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling. For several months in 2021, Morlock engaged with the operations of the recycling center and extracted materials of interest which were pulled from the recycling stream that could not be recycled as the material contained no market value.
The Town of Jackson in the summer of 2021 put out a call to artists for a creative installation which would help them reduce their use of resources and add visual interest to the streetscape of downtown Jackson, WY.
Using the existing planter bases, Morlock created flores pulchros as an imaginative display with an environmental message.
